The Eucharistic Procession in Clonakilty saw almost 1,000 people walk with the Blessed Sacrament through the town

The warm sunshine helped to create a bright atmosphere as people of all ages took part.

The Procession passed through Western Road and Tawnies Crescent and many residents and businesses had decorated their premises and homes with altars for the occasion.

The Monstrance was borne by Fr Tom Hayes and Fr Ted Collins also assisted. It concluded with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in the parish church.

Many thanks to everyone who helped: The Procession Organising Committee, the choir, the sacristans, the Clonakilty Tidy Towns, the people who put up bunting, the altar servers and Noreen Minihan, the canopy bearers, the families with First Holy Communicants, Community Mayor and Deputy Community Mayor, The Gardaí for assisting with traffic management – and the many people who walked and prayed with us.
