The gifts of the Holy Spirit were poured out on young people in Clonakilty on Thursday.
Sixth class pupils and staff of Gaelscoil Michíl Uí Choileáin
Over 60 fifth and sixth class pupils of Gaelscoil Michíl Uí Choileáin celebrated Confirmation in a ceremonmy which was presided over by Monsignor Aidan O'Driscoll, Co-PP, VG, Carrigaline who was previously Parish Priest of Clonakilty.
Acknowledging this special connection, Mons O'Driscoll noted that he probably had baptised many of the young people and was also there on their First Holy Communion Day.
The young people were joined by family, sponsors, as well as Priobhoide Pádraig and many of the school staff, including
Sixth class teachers Múinteoir Íde agus M. Fionnuala and fifth class teachers M. Serena agus M. Stiofán.
