One family donated the rose window in Clonakilty's parish church when it was built.
The beautiful rose window in the choir gallery of Clonakilty's parish church fills the church with colour and light when the sun shines.
The rose window is in a classical design with a detailed rosette forming the upper part while a row of individual lights dedicated to saints adorn the base part of the window.
The saints (from left to right) are St. Patrick, St. Brigid, St. Kieran, St. Fachnan, St. Columba, St. Ita and St. Lawrence O'Toole.
An inscription across the base of the stained glass window reads: ""In memory of James White of Clonakilty who died in California in 1867 by his loving sister Ane"
Does anyone know which White family James and Ane belonged to?
